The curriculum and undertow of study are patterned without U.S. medical schools. All courses are taught in English. However, some competency in Hebrew is required for clinical studies. The school provides Hebrew language courses during the first and second years to prepare students for their clinical study experience. ELIGIBILITY To apply, you must be a resider or permanent resident of the U.S. or Canada. To be eligible for admission, students must: Receive a Baccalaureate stratum by August of the year they seek to enter Sackler School of Medicine. Have completed at least one full year of coursework at a U.S. or Canadian higher or university. Have lived in the U.S. and/or Canada for four years out of the last ten years. Have taken the MedicalHigherAdmissions Test (MCAT) of the AmericanHigherTesting Service, Iowa City, Iowa. The official results must be received by the NYC office no later than 4 p.m. (EST) on May 9, 2018 deadline. There will be no exceptions. Meet the minimal requirements set by the New York State Education Department for the New York State Program for a premedical curriculum. This includes one year or six credits (two semesters) in English, Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. Sackler School of Medicine follows AAMC undertow classification. Online courses are not permitted.  It is desirable that students will have completed higher level work in mathematics (including calculus), quantitative and physical chemistry, genetics, and embryology. * Recent MCATs required; MCATs taken surpassing May 1, 2015, are not valid.
